Fall favorites

Well hello again beautiful people,

Fall is coming to an end, and the cold cold winter is taking over once again. In Denmark the cold is really starting to hit, which I actually don’t mind all that much. To me winter is a time for a big cup of tea, blankets and just cuddly times and not to forget Christmas and all that! Anyways back to autumn – this autumn has been surprisingly warm in Denmark, but I am a person who loves a nice sweater/jumper etc – layering is just the best thing. I love a chunky knit with a pair of black pants – just a very simple and gorgeous look. As I mentioned in my Selfie Sunday vol. 1 I have been loving me some red lips, and fall just allows you to wear the darker colors that adds a little feminine mystery to your everyday look.

I am wearing my newly purchased grey sweater from H&M that I looove (link here)! It is not too thick, so it is wearable even when it’s not freezing outside, and when that time comes you can always throw on a top or long sleeved shirt underneath to give you that extra layer of protection (which you will need if you live in a place like Denmark!). And of course you see me sporting the wonderful lipstick, which I have already mentioned: the Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss for Rimmel London in the shade 107. I believe that I am wearing a lipliner from Gosh underneath called Velvet Touch Lip Liner in the shade 003 Cardinal Red. Adding the lipliner just makes the lipstick last longer and gives a depth to the color – not to mention it makes the lines more refined, which makes the lipstick look a-mazing!

Another trend that I have been loving for quite a while now, is the black eyeliner – sometimes winged, sometimes not – mixing it up! Usually for day-wear I just do a simple line, and then when I go out I give it a little extra spice. I always use a liquid liner, because I adore the sharp line, which you won’t get from a regular pencil liner. When I started out I used the liquid eyeliner from H&M (yes, I am a huge fan of H&M as you might have gathered) – it is so easy to apply, and allows you mess up, remove, and reapply without making a mess, so it’s really good if you don’t trust your liner-skills. I have recently moved on to some other liners – currently I’m using the Lord & Berry liquid liner in Forever Black, which is really nice and stays on for a full day. I treated myself a couple of weeks ago and bought the new-ish Push Up Liner from Benefit, and I am in awe! It is absolutely amazing, it is so easy to apply, and it looks fabulous!

This picture is actually from the first time I applied it – ever! And I am utterly impressed. So black, so matte, so wonderful. It lasts for days (not a joke, I’ve tried) and it is perfect for a night out or a day in the outdoors – anything where you need a stronger and longer lasting makeup. I don’t use this for everyday use because it is so long lasting, and therefor also a bit tricky to get off (I do use the Benefit They’re Real Remover, and since my skin is very sensitive it can’t handle the heavy makeup all day everyday – the Push Up Liner is quite expensive, so it is also to prevent myself from going broke from buying makeup (it’s close already!). No but really, this liner is amazing and just Benefit in general is one of my favorite makeup brands – so check it out if you haven’t!

If you follow me on instagram you will already have seen these pictures, if you don’t, you should!

Todays ear candy:

I hope you liked todays post, and have a happy/spooky Halloween!

(I’m not sponsored in any way, I’m just really excited about makeup, even though it doesn’t look that way in the picture!)

Selfie Sunday vol. 1

Well hello and welcome to my first ever blogpost! I can’t say I’m not excited. Excited to get started on this little adventure of exploring the world of blogging and just sharing with you some of what I like to spend my time on! (You will notice an excessive amount of ‘!’ – that is just pure excitement, and the fact that I’m not particularly fond of the smileys on this site). Anywho, today I am introducing a new thing that I have come up with – maybe it exists somewhere, but I have not come across that in my day (; – as you may have gathered from the title of this blog, this idea is what I like to call Selfie Sunday! Now this is NOT a thing where I will be posting endless amounts of selfies for all of you to enjoy (that happens on my instagram, that you can find here), it is however a thing where I will be drawing/painting/creating a picture of myself – hence Selfie – and post it here! Just a little disclaimer: it is not going to be a masterpiece of any sort (unless I by some miracle find great inspiration and time). It will most likely be a quick drawing or sketch, and is just meant to reflect on my mood and overall situation – so no masterpiece here!

So today I have had a day where things needed to get done: I had to run some errands and do some school work (which I am still working on, this is pure procrastination – yay!). Something I am pretty excited for is autumn. Autumn clothes, makeup and probably most of all: autumny food and drinks! Autumn is just overall a really great season – it might be a tad wet and cold, but you know what, I don’t mind it that much, as long as I have a really nice and comfy sweater/cardigan etc. I have recently been starting to explore the world of lipstick, which is something I used to stay away from… it can just get kind of messy – at least that’s what I thought. I have mainly been getting the Rimmel London – Kate lipsticks, because they are matte, which is perfect for me. The glossy lips are just a little too showy for me, and I am more of a relaxed person I must say. So the Kate lipsticks are just amazing and just what I like! (They also smell absolutely wonderful, which is a bonus!). You might be thinking why all that talk about lipstick? I thought you were going to draw or something? Let me answer that for you real quick. I used the lipstick in my drawing. I was just so inspired by this gorgeous color of the #107 Rimmel London – Kate lipstick, so I wanted to incorporate it, and that I did.

Selfie Sunday vol.1I realize that it looks a little uncomfortable or like that… I swear that’s not how I feel – I just hate writing papers for school, and this one is especially tricky, so I am not all giddy today – not saying that I am sad or mad or anything like that, just not jumping up and down in excitement (;

I hope you enjoyed this and will continue to do so as I expand the Selfie Sunday idea (:
Happy Sunday to you all!
